Yesterday I was reading my book “Neuvostoliiton kansalliset keittiöt” (sorry, I don’t know how it translates, maybe something like “Soviet Union’s cuisine by nationality”) and I found a simple vegan recipe from Belarus: Pea Patties. As it is end of month and I’m broke and I have some peas laying around, I decided that this is an excellent recipe for this situation. The recipe itself is very short and easy to prepare. Also I had some flour for the rolls, so these burgers basically didn’t cost any money 🙂

Pea Patties and Miniburgers
 
Ingredients
  • 2 dl peas
  • 0,5dl - 1dl flour
  • salt & pepper
  • oil for frying
Instructions
  1. Let peas soak overnight.
  2. Boil peas for half an hour.
  3. Mash the peas and add salt, pepper and flour.
  4. Pour thin layer of flour on a plate.
  5. Make patties out of peas and toss them on a flour.
  6. Fry on a medium heat until nice golden brown.
  7. Build your burgers and enjoy!
