Falafels are great, who doesn’t love them! And fun to do. Somehow I always think they need so much work and effort, but in the end you just make thick hummus and deep fry it, how easy is that?

In the beginning the dough felt a bit too crumbly, so I added more flour and a bit of water, as it felt too dry after that. I kept doing this two or three times and finally got it right.

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp dried onion
  • 3 dl cooked chickpeas
  • 4 tbsp graham flours
  • 1-2 tbsp water (I used cooking water from chickpeas)
  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 2 cm piece of fresh chili, chopped
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 bunch of coriander
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • oil for frying
Instructions
  1. Mash all ingredient into dough in bowl
  2. Make small balls out of the dough, around 20 pcs or so
  3. Roll balls in flour
  4. Deep fry them
